A Dream Wedding At Our Welsh Wedding Venue: A Customer Success Story

Jodie and Tracey got married at our Welsh Wedding Venue St Tewdrics House in September 2022.

As Wedding Photographers themselves, having visited hundreds of other Welsh wedding venues, St Tewdrics house are honoured that our Italianate Villa nestled in the Monmouthshire Countryside was their wedding venue of choice.

When looking for their perfect wedding venue, Jodie and Tracey “wanted the day to be about family, friendship and fun.” Family underpins everything we do here at St Tewdrics House, owned and run by husband and wife Geraint (OBE)  and Sara Thomas, along with Sara’s parents Eifion and Beth. St Tewdrics House was transformed from a family home into a beautiful Welsh wedding venue, creating an incredible space for two hearts to come together and get married.

So what else appealed to Jodie and Tracey when it came to choosing their wedding venue?

Great location – Living in Bristol, Jodie and Tracey wanted a wedding venue that was easy to travel to. Located just next to the M48, meant it was easy for Jodie and Tracey’s family and friends to travel to St Tewdrics House, regardless of if they were coming from England or Wales. Plus, you get the stunning view of the Severn Bridges from the beautiful gardens.

Our Gardens and Surroundings – We love how Jodie and Tracey described the surroundings at St Tewdrics House “We were greeted by an oasis of tranquillity, perfectly manicured gardens, spring flowers, a relaxing trickle of the water, birds chirping and a breath-taking view across the Severn.”

Our Friendly Team – If you look at any of our reviews, you’ll see that the St Tewdrics House wedding team always get a mention, we really do go the extra mile to ensure you have the best wedding day possible. We’re so glad to hear that this was also the case for Jodie and Tracey, who were welcomed by Carrie with a glass of fizz upon their first visit to view our popular wedding venue.

The CourtyardThe Ceremony and Reception Room –  “The courtyard room is so versatile for either a small wedding or larger celebration. The great thing about having a large central room is that guests are all in one room together, enjoying the speeches and first dance without having to move to different spaces. We were lucky to have had a mild and sunny September day so our guests could enjoy the outside terraces and swing!”

The Honeymoon Suite – In addition to our light and airy courtyard, Jodie and Tracey fell in love with Cariad – our luxurious honeymoon suite, reserved for our wedding couple on the night of the wedding.

Photo Opportunities – There’s certainly no shortage of incredible photo backdrops within St Tewdrics House and our beautiful gardens. For Jodie and Tracey, their favourites included the open fields and pergola and the fairytale swing.

We’re so thankful to Jodie and Tracey for sharing their wedding experience with us, so future couples can get a really great feel of what it’s like to get married at St Tewdrics House.
