As well as sponsoring the Fillies Race at the Ladies Evening event at Chepstow Racecourse, St Tewdrics will also be gifting prizes for the popular Style Competition and Caroline Sims, our Operations & Marketing Manager has been invited to join the judging panel.

Commenting on her invitation, Caroline said, “It’s an honour to join the judging panel and I am very grateful to Chepstow Racecourse and Ultimate Fan Live, the organisers of the Style Competition.

In terms of style, the Ladies Evening event, and the weddings we host at St Tewdrics House both provide ladies with the opportunity to show off their wonderful dresses, beautiful headwear, and elegant footwear so hopefully we will be very much on point with the latest fashions and styles.

This year, I anticipate that florals are still going to be a hardy perennial at the Ladies Event but maybe this year they will be more delicate subtle affairs. For those wanting to make a statement, At St Tewdrics House, we have noticed an increase in the popularity of bolder, block colours whilst the cooler blues and greens remain popular and of course white is and will always remain the most popular colour for our very special brides.”

How to Enter the Awards?

If you would like to enter this year’s Style Competition, please go to the flower wall when you arrive at the racecourse and have your photo taken. The event organisers will also have teams walking around to encourage others wearing stunning outfits to enter the competition. 

Everyone who is shortlisted will be shown on the big screen and the judges including Caroline will then invite the finalists into the Parade Ring to make their decision and announce the 2022 Style Competition winner.

The winner will receive a £500 cash prize. St Tewdrics House will be awarding champagne and bouquets of flowers to the winner and two runners up.
